Sakura Blossoms

yay! another piece of colored art! i did this one for the spring gaken alice contest at the gakuen alice club i'm in! i spent a couple hours drawing this, and a few coloring, so i'd say it took about a day total, even though it was actually spread out over several days [i actually drew the pic forever ago, but was too lazy to scan; i finally did now cuz i had time to work on it for once!]. i made mikan and natsume's uniforms [my design] orange and blue, cuz i thought it would look more like spring, though i was originally gonna make them black and blue. i had a lot of trouble deciding on what i should use for the background too; at first, i tried using gradients are textures, but then i decided that something with flowers would be more "springy," so i found a nice picture of some cherry blossoms to use instead. the picture ended up being a completely different color from their uniforms though, so i added a gradient on top of it! as for the quote, i just found a nice love quote i liked [this one is by dr seus! ] and downloaded a love-themed font to use [thanks lele! ^^]. theres still some issues with it, but i think it turned out okay, even if its not spectacular! if theres any advice you could give me to improve it before the judging starts, it would be greatly appreciated! ^^ compliments and criticism are wonderful as always!
